Though there’s a million ways to make a terrarium background; here’s a speed-run tutorial of a tried and true method I use! The 25g @Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. or enclosure is one of my favorite sizes to make backgrounds for as the dimensions lend themselves to plenty of area to work with, while still not being a massive enclosure. I use lava rock (also called pumice) in this video, which is super light and works well. But a good alternative to lava rock might be pieces of driftwood or cork bark, really anything you want to stick on the background, you can do in this way! You can even make a background without rock/wood and just go straight to foaming and carving, but I like adding the extra pieces to add texture and make it more realistic.
