Pt. 1 | Sh*tty day sponsored by @apple ✨ My motto for this year is “Just Do It”. So here you go. This was not on my content plan but after all the conversations and things that have transpired in the last few days, not even including what’s going on in this world, I’m just going to post the real. January 31 was my four year anniversary of moving to Houston. I moved here for my first job in tech after breaking into the tech field not even a year prior January 31 was also coincidentally, exactly one month of me being intentionally unemployed. I finally left the toxic workplace I thought I could never escape. Many people thought I did @mixyeventshtx full time and for those who knew I had a corporate tech job, a lot of y’all didn’t know just how bad the environment and harassment was So now I’m free from them, but I’m my own employee lol. I was supposed to be on a flight home yesterday but I cancelled it due to hesitation with the plane crashes. They were literally TOO close to home…I’m from Philly. But bills are due. So let me get back to work and pay them. Through it all, I’m grateful to still be alive to do these things. So don’t feel bad for me, just follow along my entrepreneurship journey. Partly complaining, but also showing the real. Everything isn’t always good news and wins. BUT the wins are coming 🤞🏽 . . . . #themixyintrovert #houstonentrepreneurs #womenentrepreneurs #womeninbusiness #womenentrepreneurship #theentrepreneur #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurshiplife #dayinthelife #iquitmyjob #blackhistorymonth #blackentrepreneurship
