I was diagnosed with pots almost 3 years ago. I had symptoms for over a year before anybody could remotely tell what was wrong with me. I went through several months of misdiagnosis and unnecessary testing. Today I was feeling really happy and I wanted to film it to show the less perfect parts about being an adult in today’s society but halfway through it I had the great idea to dance because dancing always makes me happy. Or at least it used to before my diagnosis I wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming fear of being out of control I felt after dancing. It’s like feeling your own body betray you time and time again my muscle memory knows exactly how to land a triple pirouette but I could barely land a double and I didn’t even spot correctly. I’ve had to make so many lifestyle changes for a condition I do not fully understand And this video shows how overwhelming that can be. It is an edited shorten video of a 10 minute spiral, but I think it’s important to show that pot isn’t just passing out while working out.
