Okay so I love this class and Capri, the owner, she is so sweet!! @Capri Creationss. She even surprised me with a code you can use if you’re looking to book one of her upcoming classes. Use ‘LOLA10’ for 10% off an upcoming class or a private session! Code expires February 28 but you can use the code for her March Cake & Sip! Added her site to my bio if you’re looking for more info or to book. Guys, the cake is bomb! I had a big piece when I got home and was like damn this is good!! It was soft, moist, and the perfect level of sweetness. This class is such a good deal because brunch, unlimited drinks (two mixed drink options and non-alcoholic options), as well as the cake you’re decorating is amazing!! I liked how Capri took her time explaining, walked around to individually show us how to do things, if we asked for further clarification, and made everything fun. There was a trivia game before we actually started decorating that came with a prize. Also, another prize was given for best cake. The music playlist was also perfect and just a vibe. When I said the class is hard, I mean it’s a good challenge. Definitely beginner friendly, but if you’re someone who wants to make it look perfect, you may find it a little difficult. I was doing the most trying to make it perfect forgetting I could hide imperfections with the decorations they provided lol. Capri also prepared the brunch food and it was delicious!! I loved @B Parfums’ class especially because of the education component. We learned the difference between top notes (fruits, spices, fresh, aquatic), middles notes (flowers and greens), and base notes (woods, musk, gourmand, materials). Everything was thoroughly broken down from longevity of each note to examples and even more detailed examples of each note. Even learned the history of scents like oud and musk. The perfumes you make are 16-17% fragrance and are eau de Parfums. There were I believe 4 stations around the room and we got to go to each one, smell, and note what scents we liked. Then we got to go back and add drops of the scents we chose to a mini beaker. We even did the mixing ourselves and if after we mixed our fragrances we wanted to adjust it, we were able to. For example, I wanted mine to be sweeter so I went back to the base notes station and added more crème brûlée. Depending on what size bottle you get, it starts at $99. The owner, Bontu, was great and so knowledgeable. Anytime I think about a perfect place for food and fun for groups, @Pinstripes is one of the first places that comes to mind. Every time I’ve been has been with a group of several people. It’s always fun! In the DMV area, Pinstripes has two locations: One in Georgetown (the one we went to) and one in Pike & Rose (Rockville/North Bethesda). I have now been to both locations twice. The Georgetown location is hard to find parking at but their is a garage (have to pay for it). The Pike & Rose has way more parking available, including a surface lot. It has two garages as well that I believe are free for the first two hours. The Pike & Rose location is also newer so it’s a bit more updated. I’ve always received great service at both locations. Drinks are good and I’d say the food is average. They also have bocce ball at Pinstripes. I still have never played bocce ball but perhaps I’ll try it when I go next time. Another friend who only got the crab cake said she did not like her crab cake and it was low on her list of crab cakes she’s had. Keep in mind, she is from the Eastern Shore, so she knows her crab/crab cakes. 2. @DanessaMyricksBeauty I am loving your blurring bomb and Joy was a gem! Give her a bonus because she had multiple people while we were there buy your products.
