Guide to visiting the Lucky Cat temple in Tokyo, Japan!🐈✨⛩️ The Gotokuji temple in Tokyo is said to be the birthplace of ‘maneki-neko’ aka Lucky Cats (seated cat figurine with one upright paw). If you’re in search for some good luck then make your way to the Gotokuji temple which is filled with many cute smiling ceramic kitties that are said to bring good luck and ward off misfortune. ✨ While it’s a bit off the beaten path for those visiting Tokyo, I highly recommend taking a short trip out here to see this unique shrine, especially if you adore kitties! 😍 It’s free for visitors and is about a 30 minute train ride from central Tokyo! The sacred area really shines beautifully against the autumn leaves. 🍁✨ You can bring your own maneki-neko to leave at the shrine, or you can buy one from the temple shop. 🥰 📍 2 Chome-24-7 Gotokuji, Setagaya City, Tokyo 154-0021, Japan Hours: 8:00 - 16:30 Would you visit? #cattemple #gotokujitemple #gotokuji #tokyo🇯🇵 #tokyotemple #tokyoshrine #tokyo #japan #tokyojapan #tokyotravel #tokyotokyo #cat #catlover #catlife #studioghibli #ghibli #sootsprites #japanlover #japanstyle #japantips #visitjapan #japanlife #japantiktok #tiktokjapan #japanfashion #japanvibes #japanchallenge #japantok #explorejapan #japanculture #japantraveltips #japantraveldiaries #tokyotravelguide #voiceoverartist #votalent #voiceover #voiceactor #voiceoveractor #travelcontentcreator lucky cat shrine tokyo, lucky cat temple tokyo, cat shrine, cat lovers, travel tokyo tips, best places to visit in tokyo japan, top things to do in tokyo japan, japan travel, tokyo travel guide, tokyo travel vlog, japan itinerary, japan places to visit, japan itinerary 10 days, japan travel tips, japan aesthetics, japan travel guide, japan travel essentials, studio ghibli fashion
