The epidemic of missing black women and girls is a wake-up call to collective action. As I grapple with the emotional weight of this issue, I find solace in knowing I'm not alone. What can we do together to uplift these women and their families, and to forge a more just and equitable society? It's time to shed light on the dark secrets our culture has concealed for centuries and usher in transformative change. When we witness someone being treated unfairly, labeled as a black sheep, mocked, or ignored, let's pause from judging and instead seek to understand. Often, that person isn't the problem; they're likely speaking truth to power or sparking jealousy. In most cases, it's a mix of both. Everyday it’s more names added to the Missing Persons Database- we are loosing our daughter to predators - this new breed feels sex is more important than life. The women allow these men to be in their daughter’s presence… accepting bare minimum just to keep a man. Leaving your children to beg for necessities- making room for predators to step in.
