This is Tommy and Janet Wear, the uncle and aunt of Pigeon Forge Mayor David Wear. He has a story that weâre working on telling - one that needs to be heard. â Our eminent domain case is so much bigger than just us. The City of Pigeon Forge took our home for a road project that was supposed to follow a route through a campground. But instead, the city changed the plans - rerouting the road around the campground, which just so happens to be partially owned by the mayor himself.(Or so it appearsđ) The original plans would have taken the road through the campground, but suddenly, a third, hybrid route was introduced - one that conveniently avoided it entirely. Rather than holding firm to the route that was already discussed, the city chose to push the road through private properties instead, including ours. Why did the plans change? Who really benefited? These are the questions that need answers. The more we uncover, the clearer it becomes - this isnât about building a road the right way; itâs about protecting the interests of those in power at the expense of everyday families. This fight isnât just about us - itâs about exposing corruption, demanding transparency, and making sure no one else gets pushed aside for political convenience. The truth is coming. Stay tuned.
