The number of times we’ve wanted to shout this on a flight but didn’t have the nerve! 🤣🤣🤣 Everyone farts more on flights, and it comes down to physics. Pressurized cabins cause the air in our bowels to expand by up to 30% more than usual, and it has to come out. Hence, more farts. To avoid an embarrassing situation and for the benefit of everyone around you in the cabin, avoid cruciferous vegetables, high-fiber foods, caffeinated and carbonated drinks before & while flying as these cause more gas. Taking Pepto Bismol and prebiotics before your flight can also help, as well as drinking ginger tea during your flight. Or if you’re really worried about it, buy a pair of flatulence filtering underwear! We never knew they existed until doing some research for this post! 🤣 Always thought it should be be invented for situations like this, and someone actually did it!
