In this video, I share an important lesson I learned while crossing the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit. Someone without proper authority told me to use a specific lane, and I unknowingly complied. Later, I discovered that using the wrong lane could result in a hefty $5,000 fine or even up to a year in jail if it happens again. This experience was a wake-up call about how critical it is to follow official guidance at international borders. Learn from my mistake so you don’t find yourself in a similar situation! #AmbassadorBridge #DetroitBorder #TravelTips #BorderCrossing #KnowTheRules #TravelMistakes #LegalConsequences #StayInformed
the ATM secrets banks don’t want you to know 👇 ❌ you can and should always DECLINE the conversion rate offered by the ATM, which just means your bank will convert it at the current rate (just make sure your bank doesn’t charge international transaction fees) ✅ then you should ACCEPT the ATM fee, which is usually $3-$10 depending on the ATM and the country 💻 research which banks in the destination have low (or $0) ATM fees, then look for those ATMS! PS: a lot of ATMs call “checking”, “current” just FYI ‼️ not a bank secret but NEVER WALK AWAY WITHOUT YOUR CARD AND CASH 🥲 I’m embarrassed to say I also did this with my credit card at a metro kiosk 2 weeks ago, one day I’ll learn #traveltips #internationaltravel #travelhacks #travelmistakes #relatable #honestmistake
