It’s firefall szn baby at Yosemite National Park 🔥🔥🔥 ✨When sunset perfectly hits Horsetail falls on El Capitan, the beautiful waterfall glows. It looks like flowing lava or that it’s set on fire. ✨The magical event happens around February, but it needs water flow and clear skies to light up. ✨Felt really lucky to witness and capture this stunning view during my FIRST time at Yosemite in 2021. Take notes 📝 if you want to go to Yosemite soon: ❇️ Reservations are required for this phenomenon. NPS website says, “In 2024, a reservation will be required to drive into Yosemite 24 hours per day on February 8–9, 15–17, and 22–23. (Visitors who arrive and pay the entrance fee Mondays through Fridays (except Monday, February 17) won’t need a reservation.) “ ❇️There’s barely internet connection to and around the park, so download your favorite jams and podcasts to listen to. ❇️Offline maps is your friend. ❇️Screenshot your reservations to save in your phone. ❇️Check out the parks website on how to prepare your car for winter season. ❇️Pack your own food and utensils, if you want to save money. ❇️Some trails and roads are closed for the winter season or construction. ☹️ ❇️A couple of trails are covered in snow, so wear appropriate shoes unless you like slipping and falling. ❇️Don’t forget to put on sunscreen to keep your skin looking fresh and young. ❇️When in doubt, bring your own hand sanitizer or hand soap to the bathrooms. We all know public restrooms are scary AF. Thanks for coming to my travel talk Follow @roinwanderlust for more travel tips . . . . . . .
