Day 2 of Eats & Beats: 21 Days of Flavor in 30 This ain’t your grandma’s chili… but don’t tell her that. We’re keeping it lean with ground turkey, loading it up with beans, and hitting it with just the right amount of spice. 30 minutes later & you've got a delicious hearty bowl of chili! ✅️Quick. ✅️Healthy. ✅ Hearty. 💨 Gone in 60 seconds. 👇🏾Here's the recipe👇🏾(and you probably already have all these ingredients in your house) What you’ll need: 1 lb ground turkey 1 small onion, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 1 (15 oz) can of great northern beans, drained and rinsed 1 (15 oz) can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed 1 (14 oz) can of diced tomatoes with green chiles 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth 2 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp cumin ½ tsp garlic powder Salt & pepper to taste 1 tbsp olive oil Toppings (optional): Shredded cheese, diced avocado, chopped cilantro, or plain Greek yogurt What to do: 1. Dice the onion and bell pepper. 2. Drain and rinse beans. 3. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. 4. Add ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. 5. Stir in chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and garlic powder. Cook for 1 minute to release the spices' aroma. 6. Add black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and broth. Stir to combine.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 7. Ladle into bowls, top with your favorite garnishes, and enjoy warm!
