As we know, greater #NYC, #Chicago, and the #DMV around #DC constitute the #USA's most famous #tristate's, but there are still many more obscure ones, like #SiouxCity, #Iowa, which is right next to #Nebraska and #SouthDakota, or #BullheadCity #Arizona, right next to #California and #Nevada. There are arguments to be made about #Boston, who’s CSA has easily extended into Southern #NewHampshire, and all but absorbed the #Providence, #RhodeIsland metro into itself, and a less strong case for nearby #Albany, #NewYork as its close to #Massachusetts and #Vermont (though Albany's #metro does not include either state, while Boston's emphatically does). #Texarkana, a #twincity on the border of #Texas and #Arkansas, anchors the #ArkLaTex region, but its metro ironically excludes #Louisiana, while #Erie, #Pennsylvania suffers a similar fate to Albany in that nearby #Ohio and #NY are not in its metro area. Finally, consider #international tristate areas, like #ElPaso, Texas, on the border with both #NewMexico and normal #Mexico, particularly #CiudadJuarez (#Juarez) in the state of #Chihuahua. With #Canada, #Montreal has direct #highway access to Vermont and New York #State within 30 minutes, while #Winnipeg is similarly positioned above #NorthDakota and #Minnesota, though significantly further away.
