I’m not crying, you’re crying! 😭 I started LCG with no knowledge of the industry, no help, and no money. All we had were a handful of gemstones Eric bought overseas during his deployments, and his dream to one day become a gemstone dealer after retirement. So, that sort of inspired me to start this business, as I’ve always loved design, whether it was jewelry, interior, or fashion—and photography. I had no idea where to start, so after many, many months of research and trial and error, I finally found a ring manufacturer, so we started with simple solitaires and halos. Eric learned to set stones in his downtime, and I began to learn how to photograph jewelry after a decade of portrait photography. (Also another one of my ventures!) After a few years of side hustling on Etsy, and creating rings for friends and family, I decided to go full time with LCG in Jan ‘21, with a whole 200 followers on IG. This is when my designing journey began, and when I started to find myself in this industry. Fast forward to today. Mind. Blown. Seeing my rings laid out in this format is an extremely emotional experience for me. It’s not been a very long road, but it’s been a challenging, albeit incredibly rewarding journey. From starting a business during Covid, while raising three children, to deployments, and many, many moves all over the world (and sometimes living in hotels for months at a time!)—keeping LCG going has been such a rollercoaster ride. Finding my place in this world, and being able to create such special pieces for you all has been so fulfilling. I absolutely love that this is what I get to do every single day. Your support makes it possible, and I am forever grateful for my time in this world, doing exactly what I love to do.
