The Evolution from a prop to a fly half needs to be studied! - Why? - Let’s be honest 9 times out of 10 it is the other way around… - Started at a young age I was a prop, there was no two ways about it.. 18 stone (250lbs) up til the age of 18 … then I dropped 5 stone (70lbs) in a year! - There was no way I was propping against actual prop sized individuals. I transitioned to the back row! Loved it! - I have always said if you can play back row, you can play centre.. so I did. - Moved to the USA, dabbled at flanker, centre, wing, fullback.. and loved the variety! - Eventually as a Welshman.. the natural progression here in the states with the rugby IQ and skills that paid no bills..
