Yüzölçümü 14.200.000 km2, yani Türkiye’nin yaklaşık 20 katı büyüklükte. Avrupa kıtasından da %40 daha büyük. Avustralya’nın ise 2 katı. 📌 Bununla birlikte en az nüfuslu kıta. Mevsimine göre 1300 ila 5100 kişi yaşıyor. Tamamı araştırma istasyonlarında görevli personelden oluşuyor. 📌 Şu anda Antarktika’da yaz mevsimi.
