“I’ve never had a job before.” I’ve always resisted anything that restricted my creative freedom. It makes sense 😂 I was raised in my family’s campground. My mom managed the business while my dad managed everything utility. They worked their butts off to maintain time autonomy. My childhood years were unconventional - I spent the majority of my time shadowing them at work. As an only child, I learned to find creative ways to entertain myself, and as I grew older, found ways to monetize those hobbies When I was in college, I saved up a couple thousand dollars drawing + selling portraits, housesitting, and walking dogs. When I wanted to see the country, I found a creative way to make it happen…enter in my first van conversion! I didn’t start building as a way to make money but after road-tripping to 46 states at age 19 in a sweet van I built for $14k all in, I couldn’t help but see the business opportunity! Even though I’ve invested tens of thousands of dollars with no promised returns, spent thousands of hours on back breaking labor, and forgone the guaranteed safety of a conventional career path, this way of living lights me up and keeps me exciting for life! Better yet, it’s introduced me to my best friends, allowed me travel whenever/wherever I want, and maintain the purest sense of freedom✨ In my book, I go into depth on my journey from my upbringing, getting started building, and traveling, to starting a business in this field. I share every insight I’ve learned over the years from material choice, tools needed, resources, to design process, go-to methods, the building process, step-by-steps, and marketing/selling! If you want to check it out, it’s linked in my bio! 🔨📒🫶
