Really excited to present the Launchkey MK 4 from @Novation . This midi controller has an excellent keybed and comes equipped with a wide range of features including a programmable arpeggiator and a fixed chord mode for easy plaining of any chord voicing. I highly recommend this controller for ableton users as it is designed to work seamlessly with ableton. In classic button masher fashion, i had to demo it on some original Super Nintendo Jazz Fusion. I listened to this soundtrack multiple times, and I just couldnāt get into it. It felt so random and all over the place, almost as chaotic as the game itself. Donāt get me wrongāthe game is iconic and has its own charmābut the soundtrack just didnāt gel with me the way others have. People can absolutely love it, and thatās fine! But for me, this is not one of the great OSTs in the Zelda franchise. š Disclaimer: This is also to say nothing against the new Linkās Awakening remake soundtrack!! That will have its own separate ranking, and I absolutely love that one. š® Fun Facts About Linkās Awakening š¾The Game: Linkās Awakening was the first Zelda game for a handheld console (Game Boy, 1993). It started as an after-hours experiment by developers who worked on A Link to the Past! š¾The Soundtrack: The soundtrack was composed by Kazumi Totaka and is notable for including Totakaās Song, an Easter egg hidden in many of his works. This quirky style matches the gameās unusual tone and humor. When you hear this, do you think of a character select screen, a racing level theme, or the end credits to a sega genesis title. I wrote this one for Sega Genesis with Furnace Tracker, using drum samples from sonic 2 and patches from various Sega Arcade and X68000 titles. It was really fun to try mimicking that 80s chorus guitar sound with 4 operator fm synthesis.
