Delayed gratification was a huge learning curve for me, not seeing results at the rate I wanted too, but still having to show up daily to whatever it was I wanted to achieve, it was an inner battle within myself where the doubts of if I really am achieving anything crept in. It's so easy to fall off of a goal when we don't receive those instant results we are use too. Instant gratification is so engrained into our daily lives that it's hard to stay on the path when it doesn't consist of that speed we are use too. But in reality the greatest results and most valuable things always come from delayed gratification, after putting in so much time and consistent effort to that goal and learning many lessons along the way, like discipline, that's way more valuable than anything instant. Getting up early can be tough, especially after falling off routine but here are a few tips that have GREATLY helped me with getting back on track: 1. Prepare the night before: Lay out clothes, make a todo list, and organize anything you might need in the morning, that way you aren't scrambling to get yourself ready and waste any time! 2. Create a bedtime routine: turning off your screens 30 minutes before bed, drink your night time beverage or taking your melatonin before you do your self care/ shower and set out your outfit for the next day! 3. If you love hitting the snooze button like me, try placing your alarm away from your bed. Having to physically get out of bed to turn it off forces you to start waking up 4. Expose yourself to natural light: Open your blinds or step outside as soon as you wake up. Natural light helps reset your circadian rhythm and makes you feel more alert.
