I was afraid I was going to be disappointed and so I decided to completely write it off. Did zero research into the development of it, the game was 💀 to me. Until I was at Gencon and someone was all like “just shut up and play it” and so I did and I FELL IN LOVE!!! The effort, love, and care the designers put into making this game feel and play as good as it does REALLY shows. Trench Crusade Modular Terrain Board - For the base playing surface under the trench pieces I wanted something textured yet durable. So I mixed up a batch of 230 paintable Silicone along with some fine sand, paint, and medium ballast.
