In today’s brief watercolor tutorial, I show you how to paint some loose vintage flowers. This is inspired by a short video I did a few years ago that seemed to get a lot of traction on social media. I hope you try it out! Also, what kind of flowers would you like to see me make into reels? Please share below! #tammykayeart #watercolorforbeginners #watercolorflowers #watercolorflorals #SelfCare #artistic #paintingoftheday
How do you paint vibrant flowers with only one layer? Start with a medium value of paint and put down your petal layers. While things are still dry, take a very thick and saturated amount of paint and poke the color in around the middle of the flower. Then add in some bright green leaves and some buds as well. Don’t forget the splatter! Today I’m teaching you a simple way to layer your watercolor flowers! First you start with a medium value or consistency of paint and create your first layer for your petals. When that is dry, add in a darker, more saturated version of that color and paint some of the places over the top of your flowers. Watch them pop off the page! This floral composition is from the new book by @artbybianca and it is all about painting those loose watercolor flowers that we all love. Make sure to check it out on her profile. #tammykayeart #watercolorflorals #watercolorforbeginners #watercolorflowers #flowerpower #art #SelfCare
