Bulldozers manufactured by UK company JC Bamford Excavators Limited (JCB) are being used by the Israeli and Indian governments to destroy thousands of homes belonging to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Muslims in India and Indian-administered Kashmir. This is according to a new report published by the South Asia Solidarity Group with Nijjor Manush, South Asians for Palestine and South Asia Justice Campaign. Previous reports by Amnesty International accuse JCB of failing to live up to international human rights standards by providing bulldozers to the Israeli military, which have been used against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. JCB, which was granted a royal warrant by King Charles, told Amnesty that it does not control how its machines are used after sale, and that it does not operate in the occupied West Bank. It says it sells goods to Israeli clients through an agent. JCB has not responded to AJ+’s request for comment. ... 5 Israelis - who were under investigation for the abduction and killing of a Palestinian man - have had their case dropped after an Israeli state attorney dismissed a confession to the killing as “bravado.” At least four of the suspects denied being involved in the killing.
