One… Two… Three… Four bears at a popsicle! 🐾 Don’t worry though, marshmallow and Jell-O popsicles aren’t a regular part of our bears’ diet. Based on the color, this is probably a video of a Halloween treat! #bearizona #wildlifepark #bear #blackbear

Meet George Strait! 🤠 No, not that one! Bearizona is so excited to introduce our newest member of the bighorn herd, the king of country himself! George Strait is a three-year old male that was sent to us from a facility in Nebraska earlier this year. After a 30-day quarantine and a couple weeks acquainting himself with the rest of the herd, he officially moved out and has been getting along great with the other members of the herd! George Strait can be found in the Bighorn Sheep exhibit in the Drive-Through, so come say hi to this handsome fella! #bearizona #WildlifePark #bighorn #georgestrait #amarillobymorning #CountryMusic
“Rut” refers to the hormonal change experienced by male deer, antelope, and sheep species during their breeding season. This increase in testosterone makes them extra aggressive, and for our deer herd at Bearizona, this aggression peaks during the month of January! 🦌 #bearizona #wildlifepark #deer #muledeer #rut

It’s always exciting to watch our bull elk practice their sparring, even outside of the rutting (breeding) season! 📹: Keeper Stephanie #bullelk #elk #antlers #nwtrek #wildlifepark
Our four deer fawn rescues from this year are enjoying this frozen pellet pie that their Keeper Joe made for them! Sometimes, presenting an animal’s regular diet in a different way (frozen, cut into tiny pieces and scattered, hung up out of reach, etc) can be just as exciting as receiving something brand new! 🦌 To make these tasty pies, Keeper Joe soaked their regular pellets in water, added some strawberries and blackberries as toppings, and stuck it in the freezer! 🍓 #bearizona #wildlifepark #muledeer #deer #rescue #enrichment #couesdeer
Tanner the rescued bobcat having fun with a stick! 🐾 Tanner was born in the wild around 2012, and brought to Northwest Trek from a wildlife rehabilitation center in Montana. Tanner is a playful cat most of the time and enjoys spending time with his rescued bobcat buddy, Tahoma. 📹: Keeper Haley #bobcat #wildlifepark #rescueanimals
