Paris ➡️ Champagne travel tips below👇 Visiting the region of Champagne from Paris is easier than you might think, and a must-do for any wine lover. Simply book a roundtrip train from Paris to Reims for the best day trip in wine country. After a quick 45-minute train ride, you’ll make it to Reims, where you can visit champagne houses within walking distance of the city center, or take a short taxi to houses nearby. Just be sure to book your tasting reservations in advance, as most houses don’t accept walk-ins (also, not all of them are open to the public, so you’ll want to check this, as well!) You can except to spend around two hours at each visit, so two tasting reservations (with lunch in between) makes for the perfect day in Champagne. Other tips: - The Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Reims is free to visit and a must stop! - Sacré Burger is a great spot for lunch and has the BEST burgers + a fantastic list of champagnes to pair with them (seriously, one of the tastiest pairings ever). - Buy your round-trip train tickets online ahead of time from Paris to Reims and back on Rail Europe’s website. - Try to book a tour that includes a visit to the iconic underground caves of Champagne. Meet me here in October🍷🇮🇹 One of the highlights of my Wine Retreat in Tuscany is staying at the gorgeous Di Colle in Colle located just across the Tuscan border in Umbria. This 18th century antique farm building is completely restored with an infinity pool and an incredible view of Lago Trasimeno. After each day of visiting family-owned wineries and exploring small Tuscan towns, we’ll retreat back to our villa for aperitivo during sunset, followed by a chef-prepared meal of local ingredients, plus plenty of local wine (it’s so local, the vineyard is on property). One of the evenings, we’ll even enjoy a vineyard dinner with the owner and winemaker on property🌿 ⚠️I have just one room left for this trip, so send me a message if you’re interested in snagging it! #umbria #italy #tuscany #winetravel #winetasting #winetour #winetrip #italytravel
