Minnesota Winter Day Trip Idea! π£ π§ We had the BEST time ice fishing onπLake Minnetonka - here are my tips to make it a successful day! @takemefishing (ad) π Buy a fishing license! Required for anyone over 16 in Minnesota (check your state for requirements) π Find spots to ice fish at takemefishing.org - their interactive map also has recent reviews! π Rent a heated house! Winters in Minnesota can be BRUTALLY cold so sitting βindoorsβ while on the frozen lake is a huge perk. We had a great experience with @icefishingwarriors π Make sure the ice is at 12-15β thick before driving on it for a medium sized vehicle; or go out with a guide! Avoid driving near bridges and always adhere to signs π Go EARLY in the morning when fish are more active. We went during the day and while we had nibbles, we werenβt quick enough to pull them up.
