It took me 2-3 years of practicing yoga + meditation before I started to notice the mental results: feeling more relaxed in general, being in my body more, not stressing as much, and an overall better mindset + mood.  So many times I sat down at the mat to practice and I thought “is this even working?” My mind would be loud. It actually seemed to be louder than normal at first. I didn’t feel strong and I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing. I felt stupid and desperate a lot.  But I kept practicing because deep in my soul I believed in the magic of yoga + meditation. No one in my family or friend group, or anyone around me at all, practiced. It was just me in my small ass hometown, doing yoga in my parents driveway and meditating in their backyard.  I’ve always felt called to yoga and meditation and I started formally practicing in 2017.  It was that call that suatained my committment to the journey. I knew that one day all of the practicing would click and make sense, and it did. If you want the deep, lasting results on your healing journey (that so many people try to sell you with a quick fix), you must commit to believing in yourself and your practice before you see any results.  How do we do this? We build a belief system that is rock solid and is rooted in your divinity + magic. This shit ain’t easy but your peace is worth it.
