Today IGA Talent Management and I accomplished our 67th
#1 single as @Will Smith and his break out single "You Can Make It" crossed the finish line! Will Smith is
#1 on the Billboard Gospel Radio Airplay charts! I want to take a second and thank Will Smith, Overbrook Ent (Ang and Miguel) for believing in me to accomplish the goal. I also want to say thank you to @EJ Gaines , Christian Redi, and Phil Thornton for connecting the dots. I want to thank the Slang and Influence Media team for being so easy to work with. This was an all-around team effort to accomplish goal and I and IGA could not have done it without your support! I want to thank my family, friends, and my staff at IGA for your support. I want to send a special thank you out to Gospel radio for supporting good music. Thank you all for sending a message of inspiration and hope to your listeners. Thank you for sending a message that whatever you do in this life nothing is too big for our God to handle. Thank you for giving Will a chance to find his voice again when he was at the darkest spot in his life. Thank you for allowing God to use us all as a vehicle to send a message of redemption. I applaud you all and I am grateful to call you a friend. With this accomplishment Will is the first solo Hip Hop artist to ever have a
#1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart! So essentially, we are all a part of history! I want to end this post with this. I feel a change coming in the music business especially in the Gospel music business. We have so many artists in all formats that have such great songs and there are so many secular artists as well as new Gospel artists that have amazing inspirational songs that deal with real-life circumstances, depression, anxiety, mental health, and their journey in finding salvation. Some of us are fortunate to experience the love of Jesus already but that does not mean we close the doors or throw stones at people that are trying to find the same thing. These are the people we should embrace as that is what Jesus would want us to do. As LOVE will save the world. I always say to my daughters and to my close friends that the God I serve wants us where we are right now in our lives and not where we are going. I don't have all the answers but I do know that for much is given much is required and I try my best to do be the best I can be so I can be the best role model. Like everyone else I slip up, I fall short but it's the journey that makes life amazing and that I/We always can start over and try to make it right. Just like Will is trying to do. Much love to you all and thank you for your continued support!
