This head of hair was the moment I fell in love with @randco color. I decided on a whim to try out their liquid Demis. I went with a 4A (smoke show) just to deepen her base. Now- as a vivid artist it’s very rare that normal colors get me very excited and idk if it was the overall color combo, my cute client that brought all the vibes or a combination of it all. But I haven’t looked back since! I now stock and use mostly R+Color (while still using my favorites from other lines bc I’m an artist) but anyone who asks if the line is worth it I say HELL YES! I don’t do silver or grey hair. By these pictures that would seem to be a false statement but let me explain… Silver & grey hair color is one of the hardest things to achieve. With the majority of people asking for it having previous dark color on their hair it makes it very expensive and often times impossible if someone wants to keep their hair in good condition. The ONLY time I will say yes to silver/grey or even platinum white is when someone has level 7 virgin hair and even then I make no promises. Another important note about this color is that it doesn’t last. When a hairstylist asks you what is on your hair, if you’ve used box color, color from Sally’s etc. it’s not so we can shame you (or at least that shouldn’t be the reason) 🤨 It’s so we can formulate your hair color correctly and get you the results you want. With this particular client I was able to use a higher developer and permanent color bc her hair was natural. If she had previous color I would’ve had to bleach wash it before applying the color. That makes a difference not only in formula but also in cost, time, end goal expectations & the hairs overall integrity. Something I think not enough hairstylists explain to clients about the cherry cola and violet hair colors is that most of the inspo photos are taken in natural sunlight. Wether direct or indirect & that can definitely leave something to be desired when they see the outcome for the first time. I used @Paul Mitchell 5VR for her base & @randco 6VV & 7VV for her ends.
