After my 4th and final pregnancy my body went down hill FAST. Instead of a 6 week postpartum check up I went in at 4 weeks. My OBGYN told me I needed emergency surgery to remove my uterus and tubes, and to insert a bladder sling. My insides were literally falling out of me. He also needed to do some reconstruction to fix my other 3 prolapses (I had 5 total!). My insurance (that ended up being fraud) denied my claim multiple times. I finally sent a picture of my 🐱 to them. I was in surgery 2 days later. Fever spiked as I was going into surgery. I was septic. The surgery took 2 hours longer than anticipated because I was so swollen and infected. But I #survived and lived to tell about it! I’m thankful for my Dr who fought tooth and nail for me, and the entire medical team I had in that operating room.
