40 for 40 Series - Part 4 Varicose Veins Come with me to get evaluated for varicose vein treatment. I had my varicose veins treated about seven years ago and had noticed that there were some things that were just showing up more than others. Varicose veins run in my family and I know they look so much worse if they are left untreated. Some of the symptoms you may feel if you have issues with the veins is a heaviness and your legs, swelling, and pain. I go to McWilliams Vein Center in Wheaton, IL. Most insurances should cover the initial evaluation to see whether or not you need any treatment. For me I need four areas treated. One in my left leg and then three separate procedures in my right leg. One thing to note is that veins are different than spider veins and spider veins or something, that is not commonly covered by insurance. For my varicose veins, my insurance will cover part of the procedure so that something that you should consider and budget when getting this done. The biggest thing is getting it done as early as possible when you do have this symptoms because it will just be more expensive down the road and more, invasive the longer that you put it off. The actual evaluation lasted about an hour and a half and so it’s something that you definitely need to be patient with and you are standing for a majority of the valuation. You’ll want to make sure that you are wearing undergarments because they will give you shorts to put on, but then they are putting that wand pretty far up the inside of your thigh in order to track your veins. It is not painful at all during this step of the procedure. Most clinics will then submit your results to your insurance to see what they will cover. Then scheduled my procedures starting at two weeks out from my initial scan. #varicoseveins #varicoseveintreatment #varicoseveinremoval #varicosetreatment #legs #40for40series #40for40 #40

40 for 40 Series - Part 3 Invisalign I turned 40 this last year and I’ve created a series where I am doing 40 self-care activities that I’ve been putting off or have been wanting to try. One of the biggest ones has been my teeth growing up. I had an expander and retainer and my teeth were straight. I didn’t even need any orthodontia on my bottom teeth. In my 20s, I noticed that my bottom teeth were shifting and so I did Invisalign, but then I didn’t keep up with wearing my tray every night. And because of that, my bottom teeth shifted even more and it’s definitely a big insecurity for me whenever I watch myself talk on the camera. More than anything I was mad at myself for not staying on top of it. Because I waited so long I now need Invisalign for even longer. I also wish when I did have my expander and retainer that they would’ve expanded my smile more because I do have a narrow smile. That is another thing I want to fix with My Invisalign. ##invisalign##smile##40for40##40for40series##richladyproblems##teethtok
