Usually trails are more beautiful in person and we have really never been disappointed visiting a place that we found on instagram. This trail was honestly way more incredible than we expected, but we did not expect to be eaten alive by mosquitoes! ๐ŸฆŸ On the hike up, we all got SO many bug bites that we put on all of our clothing and bug nets once we got to the top. And after taking in the views, we quickly got in our tents just to escape the mosquitoes. Derrick actually got bit so many times that he couldnโ€™t even sleep and he just sat out by the lake all night watching the stars ๐Ÿ˜ณ All that being said this trail was gorgeous and we had a great time, but next time we will definitely go later in the season! (Pack out dog poop) โ›บ๏ธ Camping is not permitted within 100โ€™ of streams or trails, and within 300โ€™ of lakes.
