Gluten Free Gingerbread Apple Crisp 🍏 This is my Christmas twist on my classic gluten free apple crisp. It’s honesty the best apple crisp I’ve ever had & made with simple, clean ingredients! 👩🏻🍳INGREDIENTS: FOR THE BASE 8-9 Granny Smith apples (2.5 lbs apx.) ⅓ cup organic maple syrup 3 tbsp cornstarch Zest of 1 large orange 1 tbsp fresh orange juice 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp nutmeg FOR THE TOPPING 1 cup packed organic almond flour
1/4 to 1/2 cup brown monk fruit, coconut sugar, or sweetener of choice (do 1/4 cup if you don’t like super sweet) 1 tbsp organic molasses
1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt

Peel, core, & slice the apples. In a large bowl, mix the apples, maple syrup, corn starch, orange juice, zest, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon. Transfer the apple mixture to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour, monk fruit, cinnamon, ginger & salt. Stir in the molasses Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in the butter until the mixture becomes crumbly. Stir in the oats. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sliced apples. Bake for 50 ish minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are soft.
