Drop your flags! 🇭🇹🇯🇲🇳🇬🇧🇷🇿🇦🇮🇳🇰🇷Not limited to Haitians, but if you’re a heritage language user from the Caribbean, South America, Africa or Asia and comfortable interpreting in spaces specific to your culture please comment below. Spanish trilingual interpreters are generally only considered in our field when trilingual/tricultural+ interpreters of all backgrounds are desperately needed especially when it comes to interpreters that have ties to Black countries (Haiti, Jamaica, Brazil, Nigeria, etc) and speak and/or have working knowledge of French, Creole, Patois, Yoruba, Arabic, Portuguese, Korean, etc. This post is intended for interpreters to find community but also for Deaf individuals that need us interpreters to know we exist and don’t have to continue to show up to community spaces without access. 🎥 w/ @Vlad (Quadlingual: French, Haitian Creole, English, ASL)
