Let’s talk unfiltered, science-backed truths about managing and healing POTS—because 2025 is the year I stop sugarcoating it. People need real solutions, and I’m here to share actionable steps that can make a difference today. Here’s how to start: 💦Hydration: Aim for half your body weight in ounces of water daily, but don’t forget to add electrolytes or minerals (I love Trace Minerals from Concentrace). 🚶‍♀️Movement: Commit to at least 20 minutes a day. Rotate between walking, yoga, strength training, Pilates, or a recumbent bike. 🌞Sunlight: Expose your eyes to natural light within 5-10 minutes of waking—it’s a game changer for your circadian rhythm (and nervous system). 📵Ditch Your Phone: Stop reaching for your phone first thing in the morning. Give your brain at least 30 minutes to wake up naturally. 🥙Nourish: EAT. Prioritize protein-rich meals with protein, fat, and fiber—it’s fuel for your body and brain. 🐢Pace Yourself: Slow down. Move at 15-20% slower than your usual pace during all activities. 🌿Nature Time: Step outside, take off your shoes, and tune in to the sounds around you. Grounding not only calms your nervous system but also helps with histamine issues (hello, MCAS). 👍🏼Mindset Reset: Focus on the positive. Find joy and safety in small moments—it interrupts the fight-or-flight cycle and supports healing. 👂🏼Listen to Your Body: Your body is always communicating. Rest when you’re tired. Eat when you’re hungry. Drink when you’re thirsty. Move when you’re stiff. Sad? Go outside. If you’re done with quick fixes and want real progress, start here. Pick one step, implement it for a week, and notice how it impacts your symptoms. Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistent, intentional action. You’ve got this. 💛 #pots #potssyndrome #potsawareness #potsdysautonomia #dysautonomiapots #autonomicdysfunction #dysautonomia #autonomicnervoussystem #potshealing #posturalorthostatictachycardiasyndrome

No two people experience POTS the same way which is why it is so often misunderstood. At its core, POTS is an issue with how the body manages stress. And stress isn’t just emotional—it can be: 🔥 Physical (infections, injuries, inflammation) 🧠 Psychological (mental strain, anxiety, unresolved trauma) 🏠 Environmental (toxins, mold exposure, allergens) 🚨 Acute or chronic (short-term vs. years of cumulative stress) When stress becomes too much for the body to process, it disrupts autonomic function — which is why many with POTS also struggle with: ⚡ Hormonal imbalances 🍽 Blood sugar instability 🦠 Gut dysbiosis and microbiome dysfunction 🌿 Histamine intolerance and MCAS 🫁 Liver & gallbladder sluggishness (leading to toxicity buildup) AND Unfortunately, this is where conventional medicine falls short. Not because doctors don’t care, but because the system is designed to treat symptoms, not root causes. What you’re experiencing is very real. And there are science-backed ways to support your body in healing. POTS requires a whole-body, whole-lifestyle approach—one that goes beyond just treating symptoms and truly looks at the person as a whole. If you're exhausted from searching for answers and feeling stuck in the same cycle, it's time for a different approach. Join the waitlist for my POTS Recovery Roadmap, where I'll teach you what your doctor isn't telling you—but what you actually need to heal. #pots #potssyndrome #potsawareness #potsdysautonomia #dysautonomiapots #autonomicdysfunction #dysautonomia #potshealing #functionalmedicine #autonomicnervoussystem

Here’s what I did to heal ⬇️ 🏠Foundations are #1. Your body is like a house—without a strong foundation, everything else crumbles. Prioritize nutrition, hydration, movement, sunlight, sleep, and stress management. Ignoring these basics only adds more stress to your system and keeps you in survival mode. 🌿Once your foundation is solid, look deeper: histamine intolerance, systemic inflammation, gut health, and metabolic imbalances are at the root of POTS for many. In fact, 95% of my clients struggle with inflammation, microbiome and blood sugar issues driving their symptoms. ✨Start your day with intention: natural light, a balanced protein-rich breakfast, and proper hydration. Blood sugar, cortisol, and hormones are deeply interconnected—when you nourish your body, you nourish your nervous system. 🗣️Shift your language. If you keep saying, "I'll never heal," your subconscious will believe it. Your words, thoughts and beliefs hold so much power. Reframe your mindset: "I am safe in my body. I am healing every day. I am worthy of optimal health." 🐢And most importantly—slow down. Healing happens when your body feels safe. If you’re constantly rushing, you’re keeping your body in a stress state. Build consistency with breathwork, meditation, somatic movement, EFT tapping, and grounding—small daily shifts add up over time. If you’re ready to take control of YOUR health, join the waitlist for the POTS Recovery Roadmap, where I’ll teach you everything your doctor isn’t telling you — but what you actually need to heal. #pots #potssyndrome #potsawareness #potsdysautonomia #dysautonomiapots #dysautonomia #autonomicdysfunction #potshealing #autonomicnervoussystem #functionalmedicine

Yes, the grass really is greener on the other side of your diagnosis. 🌱How do I know? Because I’ve lived it. 👉When I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease and other co-infections, I was told to make myself comfortable—that I was going to have to live that way forever. But I refused to believe this.🙅🏻‍♀️ 🧠Then I started learning about the healing properties of the brain and how our thoughts & beliefs have the ability to alter the cells in our body. (Something I didn’t learn as a physician assistant and that was never mentioned in all my doctors’ appointments over the years.) You see, labels pack a lot of meaning into a single definitive concept. 💡When something has a label, there’s no need to question what it is; its meaning has already been defined and we accept it without question. When we accept a label, it becomes a part of our identity and how we define ourselves. Our consciousness causes us to act in ways that will bring about exactly what we’re expecting. I came to a point where I no longer identified as a “Lymie” or a “spoonie.” That wasn’t the destiny I envisioned for myself. 🏷To quote philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, “Once you label me, you negate me. You negate all the things I could possibly be.” Although labels can help us to make sense of what may be happening in our bodies and inform us on the best course of action to take, LABELS ARE LIMITATIONS. ⚠️It’s important to remain open to our LIMITLESS POTENTIAL TO HEAL. You don’t have to adopt the labels that others have put on you as your own—you get to choose whether or not they’re applicable. 🔻Yes, we are informed by our past and other people’s opinions—but it does not determine who we are. 🔻Yes, we can choose to accept or reject those ideas. Ask yourself, “Which of these ideas do I want to experience and which do I want to let go of?” It is YOU who holds the power to HEAL.✨ If the identity you’ve created up to this point doesn’t suit you, you can change it. ⚡️You have the power, the ability, and the right to change. Tell me, what’s one label you’re willing to let go of today?👇🏽 #parasympathetic #autonomicnervoussystem #vagusnerve #neuroplasticity #epigenetics #inflammation #inflammationrelief #lymewarrior #lymedontkillmyvibe #lymediseasewarrior #lymediseasetreatment #ehlersdanlossyndrome #eds #fibrowarrior #dysautonomia

Rewire includes EFT tapping (among many other modalities). So let me tell you about tapping aka the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)? 👆It's a practice that consists of tapping with your fingertips on specific meridian points while talking through traumatic memories and a wide range of emotions. Tapping incorporates various alternative medicine modalities, including acupuncture, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). So, how can EFT help those with chronic illness? We now know that painful & traumatic memories are stored in the cells of the body…even those you cannot consciously remember. Using EFT, we can change the references held in the subconscious that result in chronic symptoms. This technique disrupts the production of the chemicals that cause the feeling of fear, anger, anxiety or any other negative emotion and changes the meaning of that traumatic memory in the subconscious to one of peace. ☮️ Ready to get started? 🔸First, identify the issue you want to address. This could be a physical or emotional symptom. 🔸For example: a sore shoulder. First we acknowledge the problem, and then we accept ourselves in spite of it. We do this by saying, “Even though I have this sore shoulder, I deeply and completely accept myself.” 🔸Now, locate the karate chop point on your non-dominant hand. This point is located at the center of the fleshy part of the outside of your hand between the top of the wrist and the base of the baby finger. (A Google image search of “karate chop point” can help you find it.) 🔸Tapping is done with two or more fingertips so you can cover a larger area and ensure that you’re covering the correct point. 🔸Begin tapping on this point and continue for one minute. In our most comprehensive program, Rewire, we use tapping any MANY other modalities to help you break the chronic stress response. #parasympathetic #autonomicnervoussystem #vagusnerve #neuroplasticity #epigenetics #inflammation #inflammationrelief #fightflightfreeze #fightorflight #neuroscience #anxietyawareness #mcas #chronicfatiguewarrior #lymediseasewarrior #lymediseasetreatment #spoonie #ehlersdanlossyndrome⠀ #mcas #potssyndrome #moldillness #fibromyalgiawarrior

Essentially, the vagus nerve is the queen of the parasympathetic nervous system. 👑 Why is this important? When the body is focused on survival: 🚨it shuts down nonessential systems, like the digestive and immune systems, to allow more energy for emergency functions 🚨the brain has trouble focusing on small tasks because energy is directed to focus only on the big picture in order to determine where the threat is coming from The stress response was intelligently designed to keep us safe during short-term periods of danger. The problem is, most of us are operating in “fight-or-flight” mode a large portion of the time. Activating the vagus nerve can improve our ability to: ⚡️fight inflammatory disease ⚡️detox effectively ⚡️sharpen our memories ⚡️lessen depression & anxiety ⚡️promote better sleep So how does it do this? Stimulating the vagus nerve has a really powerful effect on slowing the heart rate. Your body senses your breathing and adapts its heart rate in response. Are you going through a major life transition like a break up, move, or job change? You can start the process of brain retraining today more at the 🔗 in my bio #parasympathetic #autonomicnervoussystem #vagusnerve #neuroplasticity #epigenetics #behaviorchange #habitchange #functionalmedicine #fxmed #neuroplasticity #epigenetics
