Pain with peeing is a UTI….oooor NOT! What else could it be if not a UTI * This is general educational information not specific medical advice meant for any individual #uti #peepain #urinetests #dysuria #infection #urinaryinfections #candida #yeast #sti #std#chlamydia #ic #bladderpain #interstitialcystisis ##obgyn #thevagdoc
It isn’t because you have a small bladder. Peeing at night is a huge sign you have endometriosis (especially if you are not elderly) Also happens because endometriosis anywhere in the pelvis leads to nerve upregulation which can cause painful bladder syndrome or IC and pelvic floor spasms. Your life doesn't have to be run by your bladder. It can actually look like this: ☕️Going out for coffee with friends and ACTUALLY ordering coffee 🚗Taking a road trip without stressing over restrooms. 🍔Eating out without overthinking the menu or asking the waiter 100 questions. ⚽️Cheering your kid on at soccer without running to the port-a-potty every 10 minutes 😴Sleeping all night without waking to pee a dozen times. 🍷Enjoying a date with a glass of wine and being present in the moment. How can you go from daily symptoms of bladder pain, frequency, urgency, and/or pressure to this dream situation? You find & treat your root cause (s). Want to learn how to do that? I'm going to teach you for FREE in my upcoming masterclass Blueprint To Bladder Relief The class is happening live on February 11th at 7pm EST. For the first 25 years of my life I struggled with constant bladder pain that would ramp up to 20/10 pain when I urinated. I thought there HAD to be something wrong with my bladder. So my urologist did a cystoscopy and afterwards she told me she saw nothing wrong with my bladder. This news was honestly devastating, because at that point I was looking for some sort of answer that could lead to a solution to my pain. So I spent the next decade searching for relief in all the wrong places. I tried every medical treatment my doctors offered me for interstitial cystitis, like instillations, medications, and botox. Nothing helped, and most of the time I felt pretty hopeless. That was until I dove head first into learning about my nervous system. I learned that if your nervous system is stuck in a state of chronic stress, or “fight or flight”, that it can cause a variety of symptoms in the body, and in my case this was bladder pain. I had always been a high-anxiety, high-stress person, so this is the moment everything clicked for me. Once I identified this as my root cause, I got to work on regulating my nervous system. Make sure to check out my stories today - I’ll be sharing what specific practices worked for me! Both of my programs place a heavy emphasis on the nervous system because NS dysregulation is the top root cause among my clients. Once they address the nervous system, their symptoms decrease significantly, and some people even achieve total symptom relief. If you have IC: comment “R2R” to learn how my Road To Remission program can help you get relief If you have OAB: comment “OABF” to learn how OAB Freedom can help you break up with your toilet for good! #Interstitialcystitits #intersticialcystitis #interstitialcystitiswarrior #interstitialcystisis #interstitalcystitis #ic #painfulbladdersyndrome #bladderpain #chronicbladderpain #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloorhealth #pelvicpain #bladder #bladderproblems #bladderhealth #icwarrior #icawareness #icdiet #icflare

With 2025 here, I bet you’re hoping this will be the year you FINALLY get relief from your IC or OAB symptoms. You’re so over feeling like you’re peeing fire every time you use the toilet. Maybe you struggle with using the bathroom every 10 minutes and are sick of looking at the same 4 walls over and over. Or maybe you have a constant urge to pee, and you feel like you’re on the brink of it driving you insane… Whatever symptoms you’re currently experiencing, 2025 can be the year you get relief from your bladder symptoms. What you don’t need is another supplement, diet, or detox. What you do need to do in order to get relief this year is start investigating your root cause… Basically, what is causing your symptoms of pain, frequency, urgency, and/or incontinence? Is it a dysregulated nervous system (one stuck in fight or flight)? Is it pelvic floor dysfunction that could be fixed with the correct PT and stretching regimen? Is your diet playing a role? (or are you over-restricting when you don’t need to) Are your hormones out of whack? Or is there something entirely different going on, like endometriosis? In order to figure out what you need to do to resolve/treat the root cause of your symptoms, you first need to identify what that is. I can help you navigate the process of finding and addressing your root cause(s) inside either my Road To Remission program (for IC) or OAB Freedom program (for OAB). I’m currently accepting new clients into both programs who are ready to take back control of their health in 2025. As a Bladder Dietitian, I see so many of you cutting foods out of your diet left and right because your doctor handed you an “IC diet” or “OAB-Friendly” diet list. Following a bladder-friendly diet can be helpful when your symptoms are flared up or you’re trying to decrease irritation and inflammation, but none of these diets are meant to be followed long-term. When you follow restrictive diets like those mentioned above or take it a step further and remove gluten, dairy, oxalates, etc, here’s what you’re risking: ❌Nutrient deficiencies ❌Unintentional weight loss ❌The development of food fear The most important thing I want you to know is that if you’ve been following a strict bladder-friendly diet for longer than 2-3 months and you STILL have symptoms, the food isn’t the problem. You’re likely overlooking some other underlying cause of your symptoms. Some common examples of root causes of IC and OAB that I see in my clients include: ➡️Nervous system dysregulation ➡️Pelvic floor dysfunction ➡️Hormone imbalances ➡️Overlapping conditions (like endometriosis) I say this with love but it’s time to stop blaming food - how much more can you really cut out at this point? It’s time to start investigating the root cause of your IC or OAB and then addressing it. This is when you’ll begin to see relief from your symptoms and will magically have less diet sensitivity (tbh it’ll probably disappear) If you want my guidance to find & address your root cause… Head to the 🔗 in my bi0 to learn how my Road To Remission and OAB Freedom programs can help you get relief from interstitial cystitis and OAB #ic #oab #interstitialcystisis #painfulbladdersyndrome #bladder #bladderproblems #bladderhealth #icwarrior #icawareness #bladderpain #pelvichealth #icdiet #oabdiet

DOWN HERE⬇️ You need to start investigating your root cause. What I mean is, you need to identify what is causing your bladder symptoms. Once you identify your root cause, you can begin to address it, and relief will soon follow. The first step? You need to start listening to your body. Yes, your body communicates with you. When it comes to IC and OAB, there was some sort of trigger that caused your body to say “enough is enough” and it tried to get your attention through bladder symptoms like pain. What listening to your body actually looks like is paying attention - that could mean keeping track of your symptoms and other factors like what you’re eating, stress levels, etc. That could mean exploring a deeper connection with your body. For my Road To Remission and OAB Freedom clients, this looks like: ➡️Keeping detailed logs of symptoms, stress, and food ➡️Learning more about what triggers to be aware of and what body signals to pay attention to ➡️Practicing not immediately blaming food for flare-ups (this is common) ➡️Participating in deeper discussions on this topic with peers on group support calls Keep in mind that the process of finding and addressing your root cause will take time and is a journey that needs to be individualized to each person. If you want personalized guidance and support in 2025 to find your root cause and achieve relief from IC or OAB, I’m your girl. I’ve helped 100s of women with IC and OAB get relief in 3-6 months (with dozens reaching total remission) If you’re ready to get started, comment “READY” to join Road To Remission (for IC) or comment “FREEDOM” to join OAB Freedom (for OAB) #Interstitialcystitits #intersticialcystitis #interstitialcystitiswarrior #interstitialcystisis #interstitalcystitis #ic #painfulbladdersyndrome #bladderpain #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloorhealth #pelvicpain #bladder #bladderproblems #bladderhealth #icwarrior #icawareness #icdiet #icflare #oab #overactivebladder
