#baconjam #bourbon #borbountiktok #southern #southerncooking #southernrecipes #easy #EasyRecipe #charcuterieboard #foodietiktok Bourbon Bacon Jam: 1 1/2 cup thick cut bacon, chopped 2 large sweet onions, diced 5 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey 1/2 cup pure maple syrup 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp smoked paprika Salt & pepper, to taste 1.) In a skillet over medium, cook bacon til crispy. 2.) Remove bacon and place on paper towel lined plate. Reserve 2 tbsp of bacon fat in pan. 3.) Add onions to pan with bacon fat. Season with pinch of salt. Sautée over medium til caramelized. Add garlic and cook another 1-2 minutes til fragrant. 4.) Deglaze pan with bourbon. Let bourbon reduce by half then stir in maple syrup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, pepper and paprika. 5.) Bring to boil then reduce to low. Let simmer til thick and syrupy. (About 10 min) Add bacon back to pan. Let simmer another 10 minutes on low until it reaches a jam-like consistency. 6.) Let cool completely. Add to an air tight class container/mason jar. Store in fridge for 2-4 weeks. Serve on burgers, chicken, charcuterie, as a dipping jam for bread, ect!
