Which animal is your FAVORITE?! 🦁🦒🐘⬇️ Taking photographs of African wildlife on safari has been one of my biggest bucket list trips - and I'm sure it is for you as well! I cannot recommend Kruger National Park in South Africa enough - if you are lucky, you'll see everything from elephants to giraffes, zebras, cape buffalo, lions, painted dogs, hyenas, and more. I decided to take a 5-day safari from Johannesburg to Kruger to maximize the amount of days I spent in the park - the more days, the more chances of seeing more of your bucket list animals! Most of my fellow tourists picked 3 or 4 day safaris though, so pick whichever fits your budget and trip best! From there, your options are self-driving through Kruger or booking a guided tour, and for me, the guided tour was SO WORTH IT. Our guides were EXPERTS - from animal knowledge to intimate familiarity of the park and daily habits of the wildlife. The number of times they got us EXACTLY where we needed to be instead of us driving around aimlessly - I think it's 100% worth the expense and it definitely led to me getting EPIC photographs.
