Best gear for football photography? ⤵️   Brand-new episode of AdoramaTV out now with @keonephotos! In this video, pro photographer Brandon Dela Cruz takes us behind-the-scenes with all the different cameras, lenses, accessories, settings, and strategies he used to shoot some of college football's biggest games this season. Click the link in our bio to watch the full video!   Some of the gear Brandon talks about ⤵️   ⚫️ Sony a9 III - "The a9 III is my go-to for stills. With the global shutter, I can eliminate any warping or distortion in any of my lines when I'm shooting a subject moving at a very very high speed like sports photography. This thing handles really well and I'm able to shoot at a high shutter speed which helps me maintain those crisp, sharp edges. I also really loves how it shoots at 120fps so I can make sure I don't miss any of the action."   ⚫️ Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II - "I really like this focal length because when I'm shooting on the sidelines, I don't particularly enjoy shooting on a higher focal length, mainly because your subject is a lot harder to track if you're that tight on it, so I like to kind of shoot at around the 135mm range, 135mm to 200mm, and for me, that's kinda the sweet spot. I'm still able to get close enough to the subject, but I still have the flexibility to get like a wider, more all-encompassing frame if I really wanted to, and then I can always crop-in in post."   ⚫️ Rig setup - "I have a SmallRig cage, SmallRig side handle, and then a SmallRig top handle, too, and to the top handle I usually attach an Atomos Shinobi II monitor. I love this monitor, you can upload all of luts to it, and I can probably shoot a full day on one battery and I leave it on pretty much all the time."   Check out the full video (link in bio!) for the full list of gear!
