“I had some help” FROM YOU creating these fun dance nights on Thursdays for the past 2 years. THIS has become a fav part of dancing on Thursdays for me: 🫶seeing the community grow to a point where we are able to easily and smoothly do floor splits and enjoy them 🫶introducing pattern partner style options and contra dance options for line dance favs 🫶belting out lyrics to songs and feeling free to be goofy and have fun with dancing 🫶introducing new and classic linedances to our growing dance list (dances taught at Wild Greg’s found on Copperknob dance list #Bootsonthebeachlessons #bootsonthebeachlists and Spotify playlist for songs) 🫶able to call out dance names for song swaps and more people starting to recognize the names 🫶seeing people run up to check out the lesson plan because they know it’s there for them 🫶having help getting setup from time to time to start lessons when I’m running in the door from the commute 🫶seeing new and familiar faces each week 🫶🤗🥰 I love seeing new people get excited about dancing, and I love seeing friends each week and catching up (and to all those who have moved away, we miss you too!) . The dance community means the world to me, and I’m so grateful to be celebrating 2 years of instructing at Wild Greg’s. This weekend was something I’ll never forget. 💜 Being able to attend Turn Up 4 Tots was a reminder of what makes Turn Up so special—it’s not just about dancing; it’s about showing up for others. We raised money for a single mom with two little ones, and let me tell you, the energy in that room was unreal. Seeing everyone come together, dancing with so much love and purpose, was absolutely beautiful. I also got to meet so many amazing instructors—from here in Texas and Anjelica from North Carolina! The love, passion, and vibes everyone brought were everything I didn’t know I needed. I proudly received my beginner certification! I had the wonderful opportunity to perform some of the steps I’ve learned in front of a supportive #dancecommunity . I was really hard on myself for missing a step, but I’m so glad I kept going and didn’t let it overshadow the rest of the performance… I often struggle with accepting my mistakes and failures, but this journey , performance and overall year is teaching me the importance of resilience.
