Triple Chocolate Mini Dutch Baby Share a special moment from 2024 to spread positivity in the comments 🤍 Recipe 👇🏼 Ingredients 1 large egg ¼ cup milk of choice, room temperature ¼ cup all purpose flour pinch of salt 2 tsp neutral oil or unsalted butter ⅛ tsp vanilla extract 2 tsp cocoa powder 1 tsp unsalted butter, for the ramekins Your favorite chocolate bar @chocolove 🤍 or chocolate chips (quantity depending on how much sauce you want) Extra milk to thin the sauce Steps Preheat your oven to 425F / 220C. Place 1 or 2 ramekins in to preheat. 1 will give you a larger ‘mini’ Dutch Baby that really puffs up, while splitting the batter between two will give you smaller versions. Blend or whisk together eggs, milk, flour, salt, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and 2 tsp oil or melted butter. Let rest for at least 10 minutes while you wait for the oven to preheat. Once the oven is preheated, quickly remove ramekins (careful, they’re hot!). Toss in butter to melt, pour in the batter, then use a grater to shave a bit of chocolate from a chocolate bar on top. Place in the oven to cook, undisturbed, for 20-25 minutes or until beautifully golden brown and crispy on top. Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips or a chocolate bar chopped into pieces in the microwave in 10s pulses, adding water to thin as necessary until a sauce forms. Remove Dutch Babies from oven, top with your chocolate sauce and shave more chocolate on top if you’re feeling extra fancy. Enjoy! Notes * I use unsweetened @lovemysilk almond milk, but cow milk or your favorite non-dairy milk will work great! ** You can use all-purpose flour, 1:1 gluten-free substitute flour (I know @Bob’s Red Mill ), or even gluten-free oat flour works *** Regular butter like @Westgold | Grass-fed butter or my favorite plant-based butter @Miyoko’s Creamery is great here
