This works best with light snags on black based prints, obviously. Color matching is rough stuff. But, I do recommend getting one of these if you wear black a lot! Tips for washing thrifted/charity shop trim and lace include oxyclean (or another oxygen bleach!) and white vinegar. This is all polyester raschel so I’m not terribly concerned about it being damaged in the wash. I will have to use specialized polyester dyes if I do want change the color. So I’m hoping it brightens up to a true ivory or warm white with a good bath. Raschel can be a little scratchy, so I recommend this type of lace more for accessories or items that won’t directly touch skin. I also think it looks best in monochromatic, low contrast pieces. (So black x black, white x white), etc. If you’re curious about price, this is $3.99CAD or $2.80USD for 15.5 meters or 17ish yards. So, $0.16/yard US for 2.5” lace. Not bad! And also again, not bought new so maybe a tiny bit better for the planet.
