I can’t believe this is in Maine…🤯 This past week, we had the opportunity to explore one of the most unique landscapes on the entire East coast! Welcome to the Desert of Maine!🏜️ The Desert of Maine is located in Freeport, Maine (about 2 hours south of Acadia National Park). Even though there are rolling sand dunes, the desert isn’t actually a desert…Freeport gets about twice as much rain as what is required to be considered a desert. During your visit to the desert, you can explore 20 acres of sand dunes, a history walk, mini golf, & even a fossil dig! The coolest part — you can actually stay right on the property in their cabins and glamping tents! So the real question is…what are YOU coming to the Desert of Maine?🌲🏜️ #desertofmaine #mainecampground #mainecampingguide #maineroadtrip #visitmaine #fallinmaine #mainetravel
