Introducing beef and dairy to my little one’s diet! Taking it slow with the dairy ladder method to keep things safe and gentle. Plus, I’m loving how easy meal prep is when I freeze everything in cubes—nutritious meals ready in a snap! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 🔹According to the CDC:before your child is 12 months old, cow’s milk may put him or her at risk for intestinal bleeding. It also has too many proteins and minerals for your baby’s kidneys to handle and does not have the right amount of nutrients your baby needs. 🔹 The milk ladder is a step-by-step approach for introducing or reintroducing cow’s milk into the diet of children with a cow’s milk allergy. It’s based on scientific research and involves gradually introducing heated milk to reduce the allergenicity of milk protein. This approach can also be used with egg. #Firstfoods #babyfirstfoods #babyfood #momsofinstagram #goodeaters #babyhomemadefood

WHIPPED BONE MARROW -Roast bone marrow bones (I prefer canoe cut- see my previous video for a visual) at 450 degrees for 20 minutes -Scoop marrow out into a bowl and add any fat that collected in pan -Let cool in refrigerator until the fat solidifies -Add to a mixer, food processor or hand mix until whipped. (OPTIONAL: add breastmilk or bone broth). -Store in airtight container in refrigerator! Best used in a few days or you can freeze for longer. #babyfirstfood #firstfoods #blw #ancestral #whippedbonemarrow #bonemarrow #momof6 #MomsofTikTok
Frustrated because you’re constantly prompting your child to finish their meal so you can move onto the next thing? Let’s reevaluate what “finishing the meal” actually means. TLDR: your child may not be hungry for the amount of food you think they should eat The long-term goal is that your child will eat because their body is telling them it’s hungry and they will stop when their body tells them they don’t need any more food. There are definitely some kids that are exceptions to this, but for the most part, we should not be deciding how much is enough at each meal or snack. It changes from meal to meal and day to day. For all of us, but especially toddlers! Usually, if we change our approach for a few days and let our child decide when they have had enough while maintaining a schedule that is predictable and consistent, we will see that we can trust their bodies to eat what they need when they need it.
