This is the current breakdown! When I first started lifting weights consistently and applying progressive overload, I began at four days per week. I worked my way up to five days and now six days per week. This is just the way I personally train and I love it and feel strong and amazing. My lifts are typically 50-90 minutes depending! If you are just getting started, three days a week is fabulous and you will see noticeable gains if you are following a progressive overload strength training program and tracking your lifts consistently along with proper nutrition! Ultimately it comes down to your personal goals! I have lifting programs for every stage and every phase in my app! After a 20+ year regular love/hate relationship with alcohol I decided to completely cut it out at age 45. As a woman very passionate about my health and fitness, I would often wonder if I could really take it next level by cutting out alcohol completely. This was difficult for me and I did have some inner turmoil for many years about this. It was difficult because nobody in my life ever said anything. I was able to function very highly but something inside of me was telling me that this just did not align anymore and it was holding me back more than I even could comprehend! If something in your gut is telling you it’s time to stop or cut way back, I would highly encourage you to listen to that voice and start working every day to make it happen for yourself. It might take a few tries. It’s going to be difficult. But you will be so grateful on the other side. You have no idea what’s waiting for you that will be so much better and more than you could have ever imagined! I am now over six years sober and not looking back! The freedom I feel spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically is something I’m forever thankful for! My energy in the gym and in life are next level. I share here because I want anyone and everyone who might be struggling to feel this freedom too! I love you and want you to wake up every day with full energy, full potential and full possibility! #fitover50women #over50tiktok #50andfit #over50andfabulous #perimenopause #fitover40women #sobercurious

This is how I live. This is a lifestyle. This is dedication and consistency. What is a recomp? It involves increasing lean muscle mass while burning fat. The first photos are after being in a caloric deficit for 4 months and losing around 15 pounds. From this point I wanted to work on improving my body composition. Here is the breakdown: 1. I ate in maintenance macros. As I was putting more muscle on my body, my macros increased. Muscle requires fuel!!! Macros are not a set it and forget it! (Note: some days I would intuitively eat more and some days I would eat less depending on my training intensity) 2. I tracked my lifts. I stick to a specific training block for at least 4 weeks and track my lifts/loads. I make sure to apply progressive overload! I push my body hard! I lift 5-6 days a week. 3. I am very consistent with my daily steps at 10-14k per day. 4. I did NOT set a date to achieve this. A recomp takes time. I am in love with the process of building my mental and physical physique. I am consistent day in and day out and LOVE this lifestyle. That’s exactly what this is: a lifestyle! You are not too old or too late to start. Today is the perfect day. You will need to be patient and diligent. Are you in a hurry? Why? Time is going to pass. Why don’t you pour into YOU and become the best version of you EVER! It’s VERY simple but it’s not easy. If it was easy everyone would do it. Questions?⬇️⬇️ #fitover50women #over50tiktok #50andfit #over50andfabulous #fitover40women

Alcohol is a liar. Spent my 20’s - mid 40’s regularly drinking. As I got older it became harder to recover. I had enough. I broke up with alcohol at 45 after many attempts to moderate. It was NOT for me. My problem was that I spent many years thinking that nothing could be better than my nightly relaxation with a wine glass in hand. That was nothing but a big fat lie. It actually did the opposite! Made me more stressed, more depressed and more anxious! The freedom I experienced once I broke it off is nothing I can even put into words. Total alignment in every area of my life. I would not be here writing you this message if I was still regularly drinking. I unlocked ME when I cut it out of my life and made space for all that has been on its way through the recent years. If this resonates with you, I want you to really consider it. Is it actually stealing from you? Could it actually be hindering all that’s in store for you and so much more?! I share here and get vulnerable with you so that you can feel the freedom to do same. No shame. No guilt. I love you and want you to win big in your life. I don’t want you to waste your freaking life. The world needs you!! Do not let yourself be dulled any longer!! This took A LOT of mindset work and mental toughness. But that’s exactly what we need!! That’s where we grow and truly live!! I love you! Let’s go!!!! #fitover50women #over50tiktok #50andfit #over50andfabulous #fitover40women
