Residents of the Appian Way Apartments in Kent are grappling with severe flooding after a car struck a fire hydrant, leaving six apartments inundated and families displaced. Baljinder Kaur, whose mother lives in the affected complex, described the scene as devastating. "I've never seen anything before like that," she said. "Water everywhere, water everywhere here." Kaur explained that several inches of water filled her mother's apartment, damaging her belongings. "My mom's clothes, my mom's couch, it's bad, everything even my mother's washing machine is bad," she said. Luis Martinez, another resident, recounted the moment the flooding began. "It sounded just like a regular car crash," he said. "I looked out the window and my dog was barking. That's when I started to see the slow flooding and then it started to gush out." 🔗 in bio for the full story.
