#chosenfoods #chosenpartner Ingredients: 3 cups All-Purpose Flour 1 tsp Salt 1 cup Water, warm 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Shortening Yield: 6 tortillas Directions: 1. Combine dry ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment (Alternatively, this can be kneaded and mixed by hand) 2. Add the avocado shortening and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes until well dispersed. 3. Slowly drizzle in warm water. Depending on the humidity of your kitchen, age of your flour, and your altitude you may use slightly less or more water. 4. Once the dough begins to form and mix, continue kneading for 8 minutes. 5. Cover the mixing bowl and allow it to rest at room temperature for 25 minutes. 6. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Approx 115g each for 6 tortillas. 7. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and allow to rest for 15 minutes. 8. Using a rolling pin and a small dusting of bench flour, roll the dough ball out into a thin tortilla. 9. Transfer to a dry, preheated skillet (approx 400F). 10. Cook on the first side until bubbling, approx 3-4 min. 11. Flip and continue cooking on the other side for an additional 2 min. Transfer to a clean plate or bowl and wrap with a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.
