Comment BLOCKER and I’ll DM the link to soil blocking tools, supplies, kits, and the how-to course. Bumping up tomatoes is one of the most restorative winter tasks, it’s the fragrance of tomato foliage… As a teacher, I start demo transplants before their time (think how bikinis are in stores in January 🤯), so I start plants like tomatoes early to teach you and you have time to gather what you need to start on the proper time for your garden. The bonus for me? I get to enjoy the fragrances of summer in the dead of winter…tomatoes and lemon basil 🥰 I usually start my tomatoes to plant in my garden 4-5 weeks before my last date and plant when they are 6-7 weeks. Plus another planting to be planted mid-July. I start in the small 3/4” block to maximize my seedling heat mat space and bump up when 2 weeks old.
