I have always wanted to rescue a dog, but there has always been an excuse or reason that kept me from doing it. This couldn’t be a more inconvenient time for our family to take in another pet, but life has a funny way of giving you what you ask for. We have had bear for a week now and he is already a completely different dog than the one we saved from his previous owner. His wounds have all closed up so I decided it was time to try out a bath. This process is new and scary for me, so I couldn’t imagine what Bear is going through. I was pretty confident that trying to wash him was going to be a total disaster, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Just like parenting, we are going to take things one day at a time with Bear. I can’t imagine how anyone could neglect an animal, especially one as sweet as him. Bear still has a long way to go, but every day is another step in the right direction. 🐻🫶🏻 I cannot wait for him to meet the boys and pups.
