💚Have you tried our hemp mulch yet? This video is from last Spring, so we’ve been using and selling our hemp mulch for two years now!😎 🙌We have it back in stock! Whoohoo! If you were on our waitlist, then you already know. If you want to stay in the loop, be sure to sign up for our newsletter for all future updates on what’s going on with everything, not just the mulch! 😉 😍Let me tell you a little bit about hemp mulch and why after we tried it, decided to start our company MINDFUL HEMP MULCH. 💚 It’s good for retaining moisture. It’s sustainable, hemp can be grown in a few months, unlike trees. It repels the sunlight because it’s light colored, not dark like leaves or wood chips. It adds nutrients to the soil as it breaks down. It breaks down slowly, so it doesn’t need to be replaced as often as straw. It’s compostable. It helps regulate the temperature of the soil. Keeping things warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It will suppress those pesky weeds. Even though it’s lightweight, it will not blow away. It has a neutral Ph, so it’s not going to harm your plants. Also, it just looks really nice in your garden! 😎No, it’s doesn’t smell like pot and no it won’t grow it either! You wouldn’t believe how many people have asked us this!😜😅 🐓This stuff makes a super awesome bedding for chickens, goats, horses, rabbits, and all your inside small pets and reptiles as well! 🥰Give us a try, you will love it! Thank you for all the wonderful feedback you’ve given since we started this journey. We are forever grateful for all your love and support over the last two years of us selling this mulch!! 🌱Check out the 🔗 in my profile for the link to get your mulch! #hempmulch #gardening #growingfood #organicgardening #mulching #mulch

We get asked all the time about the dimensions of our raised beds—these are 4x8 feet and 10 inches deep with no bottom! 🌱 The 10-inch depth is perfect for growing root crops comfortably. We’ve tried raised beds off the ground before, but they only lasted a couple of years before breaking down. These are sturdier, more cost-effective to fill, and built to last! #RaisedBedGardening #GrowYourOwnFood #GardenTips #gardentok #gardening101 #gardentiktok #growfood #growyourfood #growyourownfood #gardening #growingfood #fromseedtospoon #seedtospoon
I’m not here to try to scare you into “self-sufficiency gardening”⬇️ There are plenty of other people out there you can listen to for that. What I DO want to make sure we talk about is the shift from that self-sufficiency mindset when we talk about growing our own food, to a food sovereignty mindset. When talking about preparedness, it is so incredibly easy to fall into an “every man for himself” mindset. “I’m going to produce everything I need all on my own” and while, sure, we CAN do so much on our own and it can be really empowering to do so- why should we HAVE to do everything? If you enjoy farm labor, by all means have at it! But from a practical standpoint, it’s not the most efficient use of your resources, and it's a quick path to burn out. But if we pool our resources with our friends and neighbors, we can make significantly better use of our time, energy, and space... If everybody has their THING, then we don't all have to be doing ALL of the things. If you want your thing to be tending a garden full of low-maintenance, multipurpose plants that can double or triple as: -food -first aid -skincare -medicine -pollinator and wildlife support... Join us in Resistance Gardening! 🌿 I'm teaching all about how to grow, harvest, and preserve my favorite multipurpose plants in this training. You may already plan to grow some of them and are eager to lean how to safely and effectively work with them for more than just food... or you may be brand new to gardening... Either way, I got you! ✨The full training is available to binge now, find it at my 🔗!
