While over 20 people crowded the upper pools, we had the lower ones completely to ourselves. Exploring hidden gems off the beaten path!💎🥾⛰️ In the trail map photo of our adventure, that wild trek we set out on didn't quite lead us to our intended destination!😅 We were about a mile down the river and out of view of the waterfall.🤦♀️ We had to go back to camp, cook up some yummy steaks over the fire to refuel our energy, and have another go at it the next day!😋 We went down a different way and made it the 2nd time to this majestic multi-segmented cascade!😎 That's just how the wind blows sometimes!🌬 Such detours are all part of the adventure!😊 We always scout waterfalls on maps beforehand, but the terrain can look so different on the overview of the maps than the reality on the ground! Maps like @caltopo offer a more accurate glimpse of what you're going up against, helping you better prepare for the challenges ahead.
