Today is difficult. Watching all the social media posts. Families gathering. Memories of the years past. I can almost hear my mom's voice "Is that your long hair?" She loved when I wore my hair long. She was funny about that. Gosh I miss her. Even when it was hard, I miss that too oddly. There's so much l'd do differently. So much. You just don't know until your momma is gone. Can't go visit, can't call. It's done. I am very grateful for my blessings and stay focused on all those I have in my life today but there's nothing that hits as hard as the void that's left when your mom steps in over to heaven.
